7 Days Agadir Birding Tour

Today marks the beginning of your exciting 7 Days Agadir Birding Tour in Morocco! We will be meeting you at your hotel or picking you up from the local Marrakech airport, depending on your arrival time. If you arrive a day earlier, accommodation for the night before the tour is available upon request.

Our journey begins  drive up into the magnificent High Atlas Mountains, where we'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of fascinating bird species. Searching for the Sardinian Warbler, Spotless Starling, Moroccan Magpie, Moussier's Redstart, Little Owl, and House Bunting. As we ascend further, we’ll also be on the lookout for the endemic Levaillant's Green Woodpecker and the ever-striking Blue Rock Thrush.

Continuing onwards, we will arrive to  the Oukaimeden ski resort, a prime birding location. Here, we will search for the Crimson-winged Finch, Rock Sparrow, Black Wheatear, Alpine Chough, and the unique Atlas Horned Lark.

After a fulfiling day of birding, we will delight for  a delicious dinner and settle in for the night at a local hotel, ready for more birding adventures in the days to come.

Today marks the start of our return journey to  Marrakech, a city rich in history and culture. Driving uphill once more, passing through the impressive Tizi-n-Tichka pass. As we ascend the High Atlas Mountains, we will have the unique  opportunity to observe a variety of birds, including Tristram’s Warbler, Long-legged Buzzard, and Bonelli's Eagle.

Our 7 Days Agadir Birding Tour continues through the stunning Skoura Oasis and the scenic Valley of Roses before we make our way towards Boumalne Dades. Along the route, we’ll make stops to observe a range of bird species, such as the Marbled Duck, Ruddy Shelduck, Black-winged Stilt, Maghreb Lark, Cormorants, and Herons.

After a rewarding day of bird-watching, we will arrive in Boumalne Dades, where  a traditional Moroccan dinner awaits us and settle into a local hotel or riad for the night.

Today, our 7 Days Agadir Birding Tour begins bright and early, heading to the famous Tagdilt Track before sunrise, a premier birding destination in Morocco. This area offers the opportunity to spot a variety of desert-dwelling species, including the Red-rumped Wheatear, Desert Wheatear, Maghreb Wheatear, and the Trumpeter Finch. We’ll also be on the look out for Thekla Lark, Temminck's Lark, Short-toed Lark, the Cream-coloured Courser, and the nomadic Thick-billed Lark.

After birding in Tagdilt, we will visit the stunning Dades Gorge, where Bonelli's Eagle and Tristram's Warbler can be found, alongside other endemic species native to the region.

As the day progresses, we will make our way to Ouarzazate, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight accommodation at a local hotel, reflecting on a day filled with incredible bird sightings.

Today, we embark on a scenic journey through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, as we venture into the picturesque Souss Valley. Renowned for its diverse birdlife, where we may encounter various larks and wheatears. In the Souss Valley itself, we’ll be on the lookout for the Black-crowned Tchagra, Laughing Dove, Cirl Bunting, and Spanish Sparrow.

Our exploration continues, heading to the enchanting city of Taroudant, where we may spot Little and Pallid Swifts soaring above the city.

Our day draws to a close as we arrive in Agadir, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner and relax at a local hotel, reflecting on the incredible birding experiences of the day.

We start the day early with a visit to a local beach, where we’ll have the opportunity to observe Lesser Black-backed Gulls of two races, Audouin's Gulls, and a few Yellow-legged Gulls. Afterward, we proceed  to Cap Rhir for a sea-watch, where we will can anticipate sightings of various seabirds, including shearwaters and skuas.

Next, we drive north to Tamri, a key coastal location known for its significance in the search of the critically endangered Northern Bald Ibis. This elusive species can often be spotted in this area, making it a highlight of the day.

In the afternoon, we head back to Agadir for a relaxing dinner at your hotel, reflecting on the day’s birding experiences.

Today, we head to the renowned Oued Massa on the Atlantic Coast, a highly regarded birding destination. Our main focus wil be  on spotting ,the secretive Black-crowned Tchagra, as well as Marbled Duck, Moussier's Redstart, Sardinian Warbler, Little Owl, Glossy Ibis, Stone Curlew, Laughing Dove, and Brown-throated Martin.

In the afternoon, we will explore the Oued Souss area, where we can observe Flamingos, shorebirds, and various species of roosting gulls and terns.

After a day filled with exciting bird sightings, we will return to Agadir for dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel.

Today, we embark on our journey back to Marrakech, with several strategic birding stops along the route to maximize our chances of spotting any species we may have missed earlier in the tour. As we travel, we’ll take the time to pause at key locations for birdwatching and enjoy the scenic landscapes.

Upon our arrival in Marrakech, we will enjoy a farewell dinner and settle into a local riad or hotel for the night, concluding our memorable bird-watching adventure.
