On Day 1 of your 2 Days Merzouga Birding, we’ll welcome you to this stunning desert region, ready to embark on an unforgettable birdwatching experience. Armed with binoculars, we’ll head out into the iconic Erg Chebbi desert, known for its diverse birdlife that has adapted to the harsh desert environment.

As we traverse the vast sand dunes and barren plains, we’ll keep an eye out for desert sparrows, raptors such as the Desert Eagle, and various desert larks. The elusive Egyptian Nightjar may also make an appearance as it blends into the desert landscape at dusk. Throughout the day, our expert guides will share their knowledge of these fascinating species, helping you spot and understand their unique behaviors and adaptations.

As the sun sets, we’ll head to a comfortable desert camp where you can relax under a starry night sky. Enjoy a delicious traditional Moroccan meal, and share stories of the day’s birding discoveries with fellow adventurers. On Day 2 of your 2 Days Merzouga Birding, you'll begin the day with the magical sight of the sun rising over the vast desert dunes. The serene beauty of the desert at dawn offers a perfect start to another exciting day of birdwatching.

We’ll continue our birding expedition, venturing into nearby oases and rocky terrains that host a variety of species, including migratory birds. You’ll have the opportunity to spot the colorful Tristram's Warbler, the elusive African Desert Warbler, and many other fascinating desert-adapted species that pass through the area during migration.

After an exhilarating day of birdwatching and immersing yourself in the desert's unique natural beauty, we’ll return to Merzouga. The day will conclude with a sense of fulfillment, having experienced the incredible birdlife and the unforgettable landscapes of the desert. You'll leave with lasting memories of your adventure in the heart of Morocco's birding hotspots.
